Main tourist cities of the region
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is the capital and the biggest city and harbor of the region. This is the main destination point for the tourists.
Yelizovo Airport is the air gate of Kamchatka, the main transportation hub of the krai and the second largest city of the peninsula.

Airport
The international airport Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo) is the only option the inhabitants of Kamchatka have to connect with other regions of Russia and the world.

- The length of the air strip is 3 400 meters.
- 759 thousand of passengers in 2019.
Regular direct flights are being performed from the following cities: Moscow, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Magadan, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The flights are being done by the companies “Aeroflot”, “Avrora”, “Rossiya”, S7 Airlines, Nordwind, and “Yakutia”. To fly to India one can use one of the intermodal stations in Moscow or Vladivostok and afterwards one can use one of the international hubs.
A ride from the airport to the center of the capital will take you approximately 40 minutes, and this time will be dedicated to watching the main tourist attraction — the 5 «pet» volcanoes.

There are more than 20 major cruise liners with tourists from Japan, South Korea and Alaska.
Main tourist options of the destination
Ecological tourism: the main attractions of the krai are natural, that`s why the ecological tourism field is the strongest point of Kamchatka (tourists come round the year).
Active and extreme tourism: climbing up the volcanoes, hiking, off-roader tours, kayaking, surfing, rafting, river and sea fishing in the warm time, in winter — climbing up the volcanoes, off-roader tours, snowmobile tours, freeriding, heli-ski, winter fishing.
Ethnographic tourism: the native people of Kamchatka are represented by Koryaks, Evens, Itelmens, Chukchi. Near the city there are many ethno-villages, where the tourists are being introduced to customs and traditions of the native people (round the year).
Event tourism: every year a lot of festivals and holidays are being held. These festivals and holidays attract tourists from all over the world. Volcano Day is one of the main regional summer festivals. In winter the tourists are striving to see the traditional dog sled race. It is called Beringiya.
Excursion tourism: a lot of excursions with historical and environmental contents were worked out.
MICE-tourism: is one of the most promising trends in tourist development. The region possesses a capability to hold business events of different importance.

Main excursion destinations
Klyuchevskaya Sopka. It`s one of the most beautiful active volcanoes in the world and the biggest volcan of Eurasia, it’s height is 4 750 meters.
You can order a summer or a winter helicopter tour with flying around volcanoes, the price will be submitted upon request (starting from 42 000 Rupees per person).
Tolbachik volcanoes. After the famous Tolbachik eruption lava fields, lava caves and the dead forest appeared here.

Khalaktirsky Beach is a unique beach, covered with black volcanic sand. At the shore a visit center for tourists and a glamping were organized.

Mutnovsky and Gorely volcanoes. Active volcanoes attract a large number of tourists each year. The tourists get a unique opportunity to walk along the crater of an acting volcano, to enjoy a fantastic volcano landscape and to watch plume discharge, active fumaroles, and to visit lava caves.
A helicopter tour (summer and winter) will cost you 30 000 Rupees per person and more.
An off-roader tour (in summer) will cost you 7 500/9 000 Rupees per person.
Valley of Geysers. You can see a canyon with width of 4 kilometers and length 8 kilometers, where Geyzernaya river flows. Here one can watch all the contemporary known forms of hydrothermal activity.

The Kurile Lake. It`s one of the biggest spawning grounds of salmon in the world. At the same time one can simultaneously watch there from 15 up to 18 species of brown bears. Around the lake there is a reserve, that`s why one can safely look at the life of these amazing creatures from just a several meters distance.

Nalychevo hot springs are situated in a picturesque valley of Nalychevo, which is a part of UNESCO world heritage.
A snowmobile tour (winter-spring), the prices start from 16 000 Rupees per person.
Sledge dog kennels (round the year). The guests will get an opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, traditions and way of life of Kamchatka native people, as well as get acquainted with beautiful pets and faithful friends — sledge dogs of different breeds.

Russkaya Bay. A narrow bay deeply cutting into dry land with steep slopes of hills is one of the most picturesque places in vicinity of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Russkaya Bay is famous within Kamchatka due to sea fishing, as well as due to beautiful landscapes.
(Spring-summer-autumn.) The cost starts with 9 000 Rupees per person.
Season novelties
Every sunday 02.08; 09.08; 16.08; 23.08; 30.08 the “Larga Place” team invites all the inhabitants and guests of Kamchatka to an exciting tour “The Legacy of the Khalaktyrsky Sand” which is held on the Pacific coast.
This event is really unique due to its diversity: there’s something special here for everyone!
The tourists are going to have a six-hour adventure of plunging into the mystery of the Pacific ocean.
Program:
- 1.5 hours of an author’s excursion about the exceptional flora and fauna and the historical events of this place conducted by the honored regional historian — T.A. Naimushina.
- Culinary secrets of the local cuisine and a Kamchadal fish soup workshop at the gastronomic show “Kamchatka tastes”.
- Ethnic dance workshop.
- Traditional Kamchadal dinner in the best tradition. Musical accompaniment — bard songs by the singer Valery Likhota.
- Kamchatka souvenirs workshop — amulets for yourself or your loved ones.
- For couples — a game program “Sea and Lighthouse”. And for the youngest guests — an interactive performance “The Journey of a Little Drop”.
And of course our tourists get a photo report as a souvenir.
The anti-crisis price for the first group is 7 000 ₽, children under the age of three are free of charge. Cost includes transfer from the city and back.
